The final tale of the tape

The flight back to the United States was a beautiful, clear trip…we got a great view of Iceland and, more impressive, the Greenland Ice Sheet and glacier. Seeing the perfectly packed snow followed by the jagged peaks of the glacier as we approached the coast was awe inspiring with the sun illuminating everything.

Finally, we reached the east coast of North America, flying over Canada, and then over the coast of Maine and finally cruising into Boston. The feeling in my gut was like when I was 6 years old…anticipation and excitement.
